St. John's IceCaps Recall Marto from Colorado

The Winnipeg Jets announced today that their AHL affiliate, the St. John's IceCaps, have recalled Jake Marto from the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL.

Marto began his first pro season with the Jets' ECHL affiliate Colorado Eagles before being recalled for one game with St. John's on Nov. 6/11 at Bridgeport. He's played one more game with Colorado since his AHL appearance and through eight games with the Eagles, Marto has three assists and four penalty minutes. In 2010-11, the Grand Forks, ND native finished his fourth season with the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. Marto recorded 62 points (21g, 41a) and 48 penalty minutes in 157 games in his collegiate career with the University of North Dakota.
