OVERVIEW

The Houston Aeros (8-2-0-3, 19 pts.) play host to the Abbotsford Heat (7-4-1-0, 15 pts.) in the first of eight meetings between the teams this season. The Aeros are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Toronto Marlies last Sunday. The Marlies scored six unanswered goals and the Aeros saw their eight-game points streak (6-0-0-2) come to an end. Abbotsford is winless in two games (0-1-1-0) and last played on Nov. 5 in a 4-3 OTL to OKC. Houston is tied with Oklahoma City for the top spot in both the West Division and Western Conference. Abbotsford begins a run of seven straight road games and is chasing both the Aeros and Barons in the West Division race.
