
Penguins Recall Forward Eric Tangradi

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Eric Tangradi from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Tangradi, 22, currently leads WBS and ranks 10th in the AHL with seven goals, while ranking second on the team with 12 points in 12 games. Tangradi is coming off a two-goal performance in Wednesday night's 4-2 WBS win at Norfolk.
The 6-foot-4, 221-pound Tangradi split last season between Pittsburgh and WBS after making the NHL roster at the outset of camp. Tangradi has played 16 career regular-season games for Pittsburgh, collecting three points (1G-2A). He has appeared in 119 career AHL contests, tallying 42 goals and 84 points.
Tangradi, who was originally drafted by Anaheim in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft, played three seasons with Belleville of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2006-09, posting 168 points (67G-101A) in 176 career games.
