
Dallas Sidekicks Shut Down Oxford City of Texas 7-2

Beaumont, Texas (Jan. 7, 2015) - The Dallas Sidekicks clinched 2nd place in the Major Arena Soccer League's Southern Division by defeating Oxford City of Texas 7-2 in Beaumont, Texas Saturday night. The Sidekicks will host OCFC in a first round playoff game on Sunday March 1 at the Allen Event Center at 2 P.M.
Dallas set an arena-era record by facing 41 shots, but goalkeeper Dejan "Milo" Milosevic allowed only 2 goals to earn his 5th win of the season. Alex Megson scored 2 goals on the evening. Freddy Moojen scored his 35th goal of the season, a new Sidekicks arena-era record for goals in a single season. Cameron Brown, Cody Ellis, and Kristian Quintana also scored for Dallas.
The Dallas Sidekicks will return home to Allen Event Center for their final two games to close out the regular season. It will be Date Night with the Sidekicks next Sunday, February 15 when Dallas hosts the Brownsville Barracudas at 3:00 p.m. On Saturday, February 21, the Monterrey Flash will make their only trip to the AEC this season for a 7:00 p.m. match on Fan Appreciation Night.
