Tulsa Revolution News Release
The Tulsa Revolution kept it close in the first half, but couldn't keep up the pace in the second half as the St. Louis Ambush pulled away with a 7-3 win, Saturday night at Expo Square Pavilion.
St. Louis took a quick 2-0 lead in the opening three minutes, as the Ambush got goals from Ross MacGregor, 2:05 into the quarter, and Anthony Arico at 2:39.
Tulsa (2-14) got a goal from a Bryant Scrapper shot that went off a St. Louis defender (Arico), 8:05 into the first quarter, then the Revolution tied the game just over five minutes into the second quarter on a goal by Robert Yang (5:11 2Q). The two teams were tied 2-2 at halftime.
Just 24-seconds into the third quarter, St. Louis took the lead on a goal by Odaine Sinclair, but Tulsa quickly tied it again, just 14-seconds later on a goal by Bruno Simoes. However, St. Louis finished off the quarter with goals by Jeff DiMaria (4:25) and Kory Dowell (14:50), to take a 5-3 lead.
The Ambush (6-12) iced the game in the fourth quarter with Arico's second of the night (10:58) and Dowell's second of the game (16:54).
Tulsa will play AT Missouri Sat. Feb. 14 at 7:05 p.m., and then return home to face St. Louis on Feb. 20 at 7:05 p.m.
