Ave Win In Wichita Comes At Cost; Assistant Coach / Goalkeeper Nick Vorberg Injured

Your Six-Time Champion MKE Wave won a thriller against the Wichita B52's Saturday night at Hartman Arena in Wichita, Kansas, 14-12.

It was a back and forth game all night. When Wichita scored, the Wave always had a response. Each team scored 6 goals in the first half, with Wave goals coming from #26 Ian Bennett (2) and one from #10 Luan Oliveira, #23 Victor Quiroz, #77 Marcio Leite and newly traded #4 Corey Adamson. With just over 2 minutes left in the half, goalkeeper Nick Vorberg came off the field with an injury and #28 Jonathan Greenfield would tend goal for the rest of the game.

The Wave scored 8 goals in the second half, 2 from #26 Ian Bennett and #77 Marcio Leite. #15 Tony Walls, #10 Luan Oliveira, #8 Bato Radoncic and #18 Stefan St. Louis each scored a goal each. Even with goalkeeper Nick Vorberg out for the game; Jonathan Greenfield made many key saves to keep the Wave in the game.
