St. Louis Ambush News Release
Tulsa, OK - One night after losing at home, the St. Louis Ambush bounced back to win on the road when they earned a 7-3 triumph over the Tulsa Revolution Saturday night at the Expo Square Pavilion.
The Ambush were the first to put a mark on the scoreboard, thanks to Ross MacGregor's goal at 2:05 of the first quarter. Thirty-seven seconds later, St. Louis increased their lead to two on Anthony Arico's first goal as a member of the team. Bryant Scrapper answered for Tulsa at 7:59 and the opening stanza expired with the Ambush leading 2-1.
The second quarter saw only one goal when the Revolution drew even (2-2) on Robert Yang's tally at the five minute mark.
The third quarter started with two goals within the first minute. Odaine Sinclair put St. Louis up 3-2, then Bruno Simoes scored the equalizer for Tulsa. St. Louis regained the lead (4-3) when Jeff DiMaria found the back of the net at 3:21 and managed to pull away (5-3) when Kory Dowell scored in the final minute of the period.
St. Louis increased their lead to three when Arico got his second goal of the night at 10:53 of the fourth quarter. Less than a minute later (11:42), Kory Dowell got his second of the night to increase the Ambush lead to 7-3. St. Louis would hold that advantage until the final buzzer, to wrap up the win on the road.
The Ambush return to Expo Square Pavilion for another battle with the Revolution on Friday, February 20. Following that match, the Ambush return home to the Family Arena when they host the Tacoma Stars in the final home game of the season Saturday, February 21 at 7:35 p.m.
