Dallas Sends Francis Wathier Back To Texas

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced Thursday that left wing Francis Wathier has been returned to the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Wathier, 24, was recalled from Texas for the second time this season on Oct. 27 and played in his second NHL game on Oct. 28 against Toronto, logging 6:25 minutes. He had previously been recalled on Oct. 20 and made his NHL debut the following day at Anaheim, with three shots on net and five penalty minutes.

The 6-4, 208-pound left wing has two goals, two assists, a plus-three rating and eight penalty minutes in eight games with Texas this year. Wathier was Dallas' sixth round selection, 185th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Texas will travel to San Antonio on Friday, October 30th. The Stars return home Saturday, October 31st to host the Chicago Wolves at 7:00 pm. On Saturday, the Cedar Park Center is providing an All-You-Can-Eat special for $20.00, including a hockey ticket, hot dogs, nachos, peanuts and soft drinks. The Texas Stars will have its first Autograph Night on Sunday, November 1st when they take on the Houston Aeros at 5:00 pm. The first 2,000 fans will receive a team poster.
