Crunch Release Defenseman Nick St. Pierre

Syracuse, NY (October 29, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have released defenseman Nick St. Pierre from his professional tryout contract.

St. Pierre, 24, appeared in five games with the Crunch this season, collecting two assists. He also skated in 10 games with the Crunch last year, recording one assist.

Prior to turning pro, the native of St. Etienne, Quebec appeared in 147 games with Colgate (ECAC) from 2005-09, tallying 14 goals, 48 assists and 127 penalty minutes.

The Crunch hit the road and travel to Norfolk this Friday, October 30 to face the Admirals and to Glens Falls to battle the Adirondack Phantoms on Sunday, November 1. The Crunch return home on Saturday, November 7 when they face-off against Norfolk at the War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
