
Dallas Recalls Gagnon, Returns Climie

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced on Wednesday that the club has recalled center Aaron Gagnon from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary minor league affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). The club also assigned goaltender Matt Climie back to the Texas Stars.
Gagnon, 23, appeared in one game for Dallas on October 16 vs. Boston, going scoreless. He leads the Texas Stars in scoring with 58 points (27g, 31a) through 77 games. The 5-11, 186-pound center also ranks first on the club in plus/minus with a +19 rating. Last season he played for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL, collecting eight goals and 11 assists in 61 games. The Quesnel, British Columbia native was signed by Dallas as a free agent February 2, 2007.
Climie, 21, started his first game with Dallas this season last night in a 5-2 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks at American Airlines Center. The 6-3, 194-pound goaltender started three games last season for Dallas posting a 2-1-0 record with a 2.92 GAA and a .894 save percentage. This season with the Texas Stars he has gone 21-16-3 with a 2.40 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Climie was signed as a free agent March 20, 2008.
The Texas Stars host their last regular season game against the Rockford IceHogs on Friday, April 9th at 7:30 PM. On Friday, the Cedar Park Center will provide $2.00 domestic drafts and $1.00 hot dogs for Fan Appreciation Night. The Stars conclude the regular season in Houston on Saturday, April 10th at 7:35 PM.
