D.C. United Select Aldair Sanchez with the 49th Overall Selection in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft

WASHINGTON, D.C. - D.C. United have selected Sacramento Republic FC Defender Aldair Sanchez with the 49th overall selection in the Second Round of the 2024 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas. The Black-and-Red have acquired Sanchez's MLS rights; Sanchez remains under contract with Sacramento Republic FC.

Sanchez spent two seasons at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2020 - 2021 where he recorded one assist in 30 appearances before joining Sacramento Republic FC of the United Soccer League Championship. In two seasons, Sanchez has recorded two assists in 30 appearances across all competitions for Sacramento Republic FC.
