Columbus Crew Select Three Players in 2024 MLS SuperDraft Presented by Adidas

COLUMBUS -The Columbus Crew selected three players tonight - Forward Jayden Da (No. 29 overall, first round, Duquesne University), Midfielder Zach Zengue (No. 58 overall, second round, Georgetown University) and Goalkeeper Luke Pruter (No. 87 overall, third round, University of California, Irvine) - in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas.

Da appeared in 46 matches from 2021-23 with Duquesne, registering eight goals and four assists. During his tenure with the Dukes, he was named to the 2023 All-Atlantic 10 Second Team and led his team to the A-10 Championship game in 2021. Da played his freshman season at Washington & Jefferson College where he was named Presidents' Athletic Conference Player and Newcomer of the Year after leading the PAC in points (17) and assists (five) for the 2020-21 season while leading the team to the PAC championship.

Zengue represented Georgetown University from 2022-23, logging five goals and seven assists in 38 appearances. In 2022, he played in 19 games and tallied one assist. Prior to Georgetown, Zengue was a four-year starter at Shattuck St. Mary's, where he scored 10 goals during his junior year. He served as team captain as a senior at Moundsview High School and was named team MVP in his final season. Zengue is the younger brother of Crew 2 Defender Xavier Zengue.

From 2021-23, Pruter appeared in 45 total games for UC Irvine, posting 143 saves and 12 shutouts. As a sophomore, he started 19 matches, earned three shutouts in Big West play and ranked fourth in the conference with 63 saves. During his freshman campaign, Pruter posted a 76.3 percent save percentage and tallied a career-high 13 saves at Stanford, tied for the second-most in a single game in program history.
