CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones defeated the Dayton Bombers, 4-1, Wednesday night at U.S. Bank Arena. Forward Jean-Michel Daoust scored a pair of third period power play goals to blow open the game. Goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris turned aside 31 shots to pick up the victory.
The Cyclones opened the scoring just 20 seconds into the contest when center Barret Ehgoetz fired home a shot from winger Torry Gajda. Cincinnati wasted little time in adding an insurance marker, when at the 1:35 mark of the period, defenseman Matt Macdonald rifled home a shot to open the lead to 2-0. Dayton scored its lone goal on the power play at the 18:09 mark of the first period, when Tim Konosorda scored his first tally of the preseason.
The Cyclones next play on Friday night (Oct. 13) at Toledo at 7:35pm.
Friday's game will be broadcast on the team's website (www.cycloneshockey.com). This service will be free to fans throughout the season.
