Salmon Kings release five from training camp

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Salmon Kings, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks and the AHL's Manitoba Moose, announced today that they have made the first roster trim for the 2006-07 season.

Victoria has released five players from training camp: Corey Sabourin (D), Steve LeCuyer (D), Jeff MacAulay (D), Jason Williamson (F) and Peter Giatrelis (F).

The Salmon Kings continue training camp at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre through Wednesday with the Annual Blue and White Game starting at 7:00 p.m. Season ticket holders can pick up their ticket packages at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre starting at 5:00 p.m., and the doors will open to the public at 6:00 p.m.

The Salmon Kings head to Idaho for a pre-season series on Friday and Saturday against the Steelheads, and open the 2006-07 season in Alaska on October 20th.
