
Cyclones Split Doubleheader in Jersey Shore on Friday

Lakewood, NJ - The Cyclones dropped Game One of Friday's doubleheader, falling to the BlueClaws by the score of 2-1. RHP Carson Seymour (0-2) took the loss for Brooklyn after allowing two runs, earned, on six hits with three strikeouts over his 4.0 innings on the mound.
Brooklyn's lone run came early on after Rowdey Jordan jump-started the game with a double on the first pitch he saw, advanced to third on a fly out one pitch later and scored when Matt O'Neill hit a grounder to third but Jordan was able to beat the throw home to give Brooklyn an early 1-0 lead.
In the bottom of the frame Jersey Shore got even when Johan Rojas stole home on the back end of the double steal to knot things up at 1-1.
In the fourth, the 'Claws took the lead after a pair of two-out hits - a double from Casey Martin and a single from Carlos De La Cruz - pushed home the go-ahead run and gave Jersey Shore a 2-1 advantage, which is how the game would end.
