
Cutters Lose Fifth Straight

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters lost their fifth straight game Thursday night, falling 2-1 at home in a tight game against the Batavia Muckdogs.
The Crosscutters scored first for the fourth consecutive game, as doubles by Harold Martinez and Taylor Black in the second inning made it 1-0 Williamsport.
The Muckdogs answered in the top of the third, scoring two runs on two hits off Cutters starter Mike Nesseth.
Heavy showers suspended play for fifty minutes in the bottom of the third inning.
Three Muckdogs relievers combined to throw five shutout innings, blanking the home team while recording five strikeouts.
Williamsport relievers Austin Brough, Hector Neris, and Ryan Duke combined to throw six shutout innings to keep the home team within reach.
