
Tigers Done in by Four-Run Fourth

BURLINGTON, VT - The Connecticut Tigers could not survive a four-run fourth inning by the Vermont Lake Monsters, as the Tigers fell 6-1 on Thursday night at Centennial Field in Burlington, Vermont.
Luis Sanz kept Vermont hitless over the first three innings, before surrendering four runs on five hits in the fourth. They would tack on a run in the fifth and one in the sixth to go on for the win.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth, before the Lake Monsters came up with six unanswered runs.
Connecticut's' Chad Wright, who started the season 1-for-19, had two hits in his two plate appearances tonight.
Luis Sanz suffered his first loss of the year, while Seth Frankoff picked up the win for Vermont, after pitching seven strong innings.
The Tigers and Lake Monsters will play game two of the three-game series tomorrow night at Centennial Field. First pitch is set for 7:05 PM.
