
Cutters Fall In Series Finale

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Crosscutters were unable to complete their first three-game road series sweep of the season as they were defeated by Tri-City 8-4 Thursday night.
Cutters starter Felix Paulio fell to 0-2 on the season, allowing eight runs, all earned, on 10 hits in a season low 2.2 innings of work. Paulino has allowed 10 hits in each of his last two starts, taking the loss in each.
Outfielder Juan Luis connected on his first professional home run, a solo home run to lead off the top of the 7th . Luis finished the night going 3-for-4 with the HR and two RBI.
Luke Maglich added three more hits for the Cutters who pounded out 12 hits in the loss. Mahlich finished the night 3-for-4 with three singles.
The Cutters bullpen combined to toss 5.1 innings of shutout relief. Blake Quinn struck out six Valley Cats in 2,1 innings of work. Kenny Koplove struck out three in 2 innings of work and Gandy Stubbelfield struck out one in an inning of work.
The Cutters left 10 runners on base, and went 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position in the loss. They fall to 3-7 on the road this season.
