CURVE, Pa. - The anticipation is building ahead of the first home game of 2011 for the Altoona Curve, and Curve Owner Bob Lozinak, General Manager Rob Egan and Pittsburgh Pirates' General Manager Neal Huntington will be participating in events tonight and tomorrow.

Tonight, Wednesday, April 13th, at 7 p.m., Curve Owner Bob Lozinak and General Manager Rob Egan will both be present at the Altoona City Council meeting, which is located at Council Chambers, 1320 Washington Avenue in Altoona. Altoona Mayor William Schirf will make a proclamation recognizing the team's 2010 Eastern League Championship. In addition to the proclamation, there will be a special presentation made to the team by the city.

On Thursday morning, April 14th, at 7:45 a.m., Pittsburgh Pirates' General Manager Neal Huntington will be keynote speaker at the Blair County Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Club event. The breakfast will be held at The Casino at Lakemont Park, which neighbors Blair County Ballpark. In his remarks, Huntington will highlight the 2011 Pirates and discuss the Major League team's long-standing affiliation with the Altoona Curve.
