
Crunch Recall Motherwell and Plekhanov and Release Taylor

Syracuse, NY (February 18, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled defensemen Brett Motherwell and Andrei Plekhanov from Elmira. In addition, the Crunch have released center Max Taylor from his professional try-out contract.
Motherwell, 21, has appeared in 27 games with the Crunch this season, registering 1 goal, 7 assists and 8 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 2 games for Elmira this season. A native of St. Charles, Illinois, Motherwell was signed by the Crunch on January 16, 2008.
Plekhanov, 21, has appeared in 28 games for the Crunch this season, posting 3 goals, 11 assists and 6 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 7 games for Elmira this season, notching 1 assist. A native of Nizhnekamsk, Russia, Plekhanov was drafted by Columbus in the third round, 96th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
Taylor, 24, has appeared in 50 games for Texas (ECHL) this season, tallying 18 goals, 19 assists and 43 penalty minutes. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Taylor was signed by the Crunch to a professional try-out contract on February 15, 2008.
