Bulldogs look to extend their winning streak with four tilts this week

The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will play four games this week, including one contest at Copps Coliseum and three on the road. Hamilton will travel to the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa to battle the Stars (AHL affiliate of the Dallas Starts) tomorrow night (Tuesday, February 19th) at 8:07 p.m. and then make their first-ever trip to the I Wireless Center the following night (Wednesday, February 20th) to tangle with the Quad City Flames (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) at 8:05 p.m. The Bulldogs return home to Copps Coliseum to take on the Houston Aeros (AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild) on Saturday, February 23rd at 7:30 p.m., before rounding out their weekly schedule at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto on Sunday, February 24th against the Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) at 4:00 p.m.

Last week, Hamilton posted a 3-1-0-0 record in four games versus North Division opponents. The Bulldogs fell 5-2 to the Marlies on Wednesday, February 13th before rebounding to drop Toronto 7-4 two nights later on Friday, February 15th at Copps Coliseum. The 'Dogs rounded out the weekend with two more wins, edging the Lake Erie Monsters 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday, February 16th before defeating the Rochester Americans 4-1 on Sunday, February, 17th at Blue Cross Arena.

- C Mikhail Grabovski was named the Rbk/AHL Player of the week after recording five goals, five assists, 10 points, a plus-1 rating, 15 shots, and two penalty minutes last week. He was also named first star three times in four games and had two game-winning goals and a game-tying goal in that span

- With a goal on Feb. 17 at Rochester, the 72nd of his career, RW Duncan Milroy took sole possession of second place on the Bulldogs' all-time goals list behind only Corey Locke (75). Brian Swanson and Tomas Plekanec, who each had 71 goals in a Bulldogs uniform, are now tied for third

- C Corey Locke recorded his 200th career AHL point with an assist on Feb. 15 vs. Toronto

- C Daniel Corso is currently on a four-game assist and point streak (Feb. 13-17) with six helpers in that span

- RW Matt D'Agostini is currently on a three-game assist and point streak (Feb. 15-17) with five points (1-4-5) in that span

- On Sunday morning (Feb. 17), Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Julien BriseBois announced that the Club signed D Conrad Martin to a two-year AHL contract (2007-2008, 2008-2009). Martin was originally signed to a Professional Tryout Contract (P.T.O.) on Jan. 2/08

- Montreal RW Andrei Kostitsyn recorded three points this past week, scoring the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win against Philadelphia (Feb. 16) and adding two helpers in a 5-3 win over the Flyers (Feb. 17)

- Montreal C Tomas Plekanec registered two points last week, tallying a goal in a 3-2 loss to Tampa Bay (Feb. 12) and picking up an assist in a 5-3 win versus Philadelphia (Feb. 17)

- Dallas C Mike Ribeiro picked up three points in the last seven days, recording one goal and two assists in a 4-2 win versus Anaheim (Feb. 15)

- Edmonton G Mathieu Garon registered two wins last week; a 4-2 win versus Minnesota (Feb. 12), and a 3-2 victory against San Jose (Feb. 14)
