Crunch Recall Left Wing Ryan Hillier from Elmira

Syracuse, NY (November 21, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled left wing Ryan Hillier from Elmira (ECHL).

Hillier, 22, has appeared in 11 games with Elmira this season, recording five points (2g, 3a). He has skated in four career AHL games, all with Hartford last season, collecting two penalty minutes.

Prior to turning pro, Hillier appeared in 229 career Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) games with Halifax from 2004-08, tallying 190 points (86g, 104a). A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Hillier was selected by the New York Rangers in the third round, 84th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by Anaheim along with Aaron Voros from the New York Rangers in exchange for Steve Eminger on July 9, 2010.

The Crunch's next game is on Sunday, November 21 vs. Rochester at 5:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena.
