WORCESTER, MA - Andrew Desjardins had a three point game, including the game winning goal with 5:57 remaining, to lead the three goal comeback for Worcester against the Springfield Falcons on Sunday at the DCU Center.

Dan DaSilva, Sean Sullivan and Kevin Henderson also scored for Worcester while Alex Stalock made 24 saves as the Sharks improve their home record to 5-2-1-1.

Both teams started the game conservatively in the first but the two teams struck for three goals in 2:33. Springfield tallied the game's first goal with 4:40 remaining in the period on a rebound goal by Tomas Kubalik (6th). Matt Calvert and Ben Guite picked up the assists on the goal that was scored as Alex Stalock was down in the crease. A late Worcester penalty saw the Sharks tie the game up at 1-1 on a shorthanded goal by Kevin Henderson (1st), who went coast-to-coast, skated behind the Falcons net and fired it high glove side from the right circle. Just under a minute later, Springfield scored on the same power play to regain the lead at 2-1. Steven Goertzen (2nd) notched the goal with Nick Holden and David Savard picking up the assists. The period ended with some pushing and shoving and with the score 2-1 in favor of Springfield.

The second period started the same way the first period ended. Both teams scored early and within minutes of each other. Springfield once again scored first in the period as agitator Nick Tarnasky scored his first goal of the season only 0:23 into the second after a turnover in front of the Sharks net to give the Falcons a 3-1 lead. But Worcester once again answered as Sean Sullivan (5th) fired a slap shot from the left point to cut the Springfield lead to 3-2. The period ended with the score 3-2 Falcons with Worcester leading in shots for the period 11-7.

Springfield started the third period with a lead but Worcester would come on strong in the end. Dan DaSilva (2nd) buried a loose puck to the left of the Falcons goal to tie the game at 3-3 with 12:13 remaining in the game. Nick Schaus and Andrew Desjardins were given assists on the DaSilva tying goal. Just over five minutes later the Sharks would complete the comeback and take the lead. Andrew Desjardins (3rd) ripped a slap shot on a feed from DaSilva from the left circle past goalie Gustaf Wesslau to give Worcester the 4-3 lead. The Sharks would shut down the Falcons offense for the remainder of the period and skated away with the comeback 4-3 victory. Shots in the period were 9-8 in favor of Worcester.

The Sharks overall record improves to 8-5-1-3 (20pts).
