
Crunch Recall John Mitchell and Adam Perry

Syracuse, NY (November 6, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled left wings John Mitchell and Adam Perry from Elmira (ECHL).
Mitchell, 24, has appeared in four games for the Crunch this season and made his professional debut on October 8 at Lake Erie. Prior to turning pro, Mitchell spent four years at the University of Wisconsin from 2006-10, racking up 61 points (32g, 29a) in 139 contests.
A native of Neenah, Wisconsin, Mitchell skated in 74 combined United States Hockey League (USHL) contests with Tri-City, Green Bay and Indiana from 2004-06, recording 17 points (9g, 8a). He was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on July 22, 2010.
Perry, 23, has appeared in nine games with Elmira this season, totaling six points (4g, 2a) and six penalty minutes. He skated in 67 ECHL games with the Utah last season, finishing fifth in the league in scoring with 78 points (30g, 48a) and 62 penalty minutes. Perry skated in 12 AHL games with San Antonio during the 2008-09 campaign, notching three points (1g, 2a) and 19 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, Perry spent parts of four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2004-08 with London and Belleville, registering 245 points (107g, 138a) in 222 games. A native of Peterborough, Ontario, Perry contributed two points (1g, 1a) in eight playoff games during London's 2004-05 playoff run, helping the Knights capture the Memorial Cup alongside his brother and current Anaheim Ducks right wing, Corey Perry. He was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on July 22, 2010.
The Crunch travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to take on the Penguins on Saturday, November 6 and to Binghamton to battle the Senators on Sunday, November 7. Syracuse's next home game is on Saturday, November 13 when they face Hershey at 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial at Oncenter. Season tickets for the 2010-11 season are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
