Frisco RoughRiders News Release
FRISCO, TEXAS - Dallas Cowboys safety J.J. Wilcox will throw out a ceremonial first pitch at Friday's Frisco RoughRiders game at Dr Pepper Ballpark just prior to the 7:05 p.m. start time.
Additionally, Wilcox plans to take batting practice, throw, and shag fly balls during the club's regularly scheduled batting practice time. The RoughRiders will live stream the action over Periscope on the team's account (@RidersBaseball). Wilcox was the home run champion in the Cowboys Home Run Challenge at Dr Pepper Ballpark this past Tuesday.
"The Dallas Cowboys will soon be our new neighbors here in Frisco," said RoughRiders Executive Vice Present and General Manager Jason Dambach. "It will be our pleasure to host J.J. Wilcox, 25, is set to embark on his fourth season with the Cowboys. Taken in the third round out of Georgia Southern, Wilcox has played in in 35 games as a Cowboy, starting 24 of them, with 158 career tackles, four interceptions, and one forced fumble.
The RoughRiders return home Friday, May 20 to host the Missions in a four-game series at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
