Ottawa 67's News Release

(Ottawa, ON.)-The Ottawa 67's today announced that almost 4,000 great seats are still available for Coach Brian Kilrea's final regular season game behind the bench, Sunday, March 15th at 2:00 pm. The game will mark the end of a 32-season career during which Kilrea has coached more games (2,150) and recorded more victories (1,187) than any coach in Canadian Hockey League history.

"We feel that there's a general perception on the streets that this game, given its historic significance, is sold out, but fans can still get great seats to be part of it" said Jeff Hunt, Owner and Governor of the 67's. "At the start of this season, we decided to make more tickets available for Killer's last game by excluding it from our traditional group ticketing programs. We wanted to make sure that fans from the four different decades in which Killer has coached-parents, kids and grandparents-would have an opportunity to get together, come to the game together and help give Brian the send-off he deserves. As a result, we still have almost 4,000 available tickets for the game and fans can still be on-hand for it."

A special pre-game ceremony honouring Coach Kilrea will commence at 2:00 pm followed by the game against the Kingston Frontenacs. Tickets are available by telephone at 613.599.FANS (3267), online @ Ottawa67s.com or by visiting the 67's box office in the Coliseum Building, Lansdowne Park.
