Andrei Loktionov Precision Jewellers and Windsor Spitfires Player of the Month for February

(Windsor) Spitfires centre Andrei Loktionov is the Precision Jewellers and Windsor Spitfires Player of the Month for February as selected by the team's coaching staff. In 11 games played during the month, Loktionov scored 5 goals and added 14 assists for 19 points, while posting a plus-8 plus-minus rating.

He also recorded 7 multi-point games during the month, including one-goal and two assist performances versus the London Knights on February 6th and the Erie Otters on February 19th. Loktionov is currently on a ten game point streak and has the OHL's longest streak this season for consecutive games with at least one assist, currently standing at nine games.

The 18 year-old Voskresensk, Russia native was selected by the Spitfires with the seventh overall pick in the 2008 CHL Import Draft and he was also drafted by the NHL's Los Angeles Kings in the fifth round at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in Ottawa, Ontario. He is currently ranked third in the OHL rookie scoring race with 20 goals and 39 assists for 59 points in 46 games played this season.

Loktionov will receive a Bulova watch, valued at $300, courtesy of Dan Thomas from Precision Jewellers prior to the commencement of an upcoming Spitfires home game for his outstanding performance in February.
