
Brandon Mashinter Signs Contract with San Jose Sharks

Belleville Bulls overage forward Brandon Mashinter has signed a free agent entry level contract with the San Jose Sharks. As per Sharks club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mashinter was acquired by the Bulls in a trade with the Kitchener Rangers in December. In 26 games with Belleville, Mashinter has recorded 16 goals and 27 points along with 28 penalty minutes. The Bradford, Ontario native has scored 30 goals and added 23 assists in 47 games played this season. Last season, Mashinter won an OHL Championship with Kitchener.
"We are very pleased to be able to add a player of Brandon's caliber to our organization," said Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson. "Brandon's career has really blossomed this season and he deserves a lot of credit, along with Belleville General Manager and Head Coach George Burnett."
