Countdown to Face-Off
March 9, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
The madness of March continues in the North Division tonight at Wings Stadium, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Chicago Express. The K-Wings, who are 4-4-0-2 versus the Express this season, will play Chicago five more times including tonight before the end of the regular season.
Erasing a three-goal third period deficit, the K-Wings increased their lead in the North Division by defeating the Cincinnati Cyclones 6-5 in overtime on Wednesday. Kalamazoo leads the division by four points over Cincinnati and nine points ahead of Chicago.
Chicago heads into Wings Stadium looking to end a three-game (0-2-0-1) winless streak. With 62 points, the Express are ninth overall in the Eastern Conference and trail the Florida Everblades by three points, who currently occupy the eighth and final playoff spot in conference.
