Plan for Free Tickets Announced for Condorstown's Unemployed

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors have announced a plan that will grant free tickets to an upcoming game for those who are unemployed in the Condorstown community.
Individuals may collect up to four (4) complimentary tickets as a part of the plan. Anyone who is currently without work and seeking unemployment is eligible. The deal is good for either of the three Wednesday games on the schedule in March. The Condors host the Utah Grizzlies on Wednesday, Mar. 14, the Colorado Eagles on Wednesday, Mar. 21 and the Alaska Aces on Wednesday, Mar. 28.
"We know that things aren't easy out there, and haven't been for quite some time," said Condors President Matthew Riley. "There are plenty of folks that are battling the stress of actively looking for jobs, and we just want to help offer an escape from that pressure. Hopefully they can enjoy a night on us with their families."
To earn the complimentary tickets, fans must present their notice from the Employment Development Department of California at the box office. Kern County's unemployment rate is higher than the national average, listed at 14.5% as recently as December, 2011. The box office is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
Two Left in Boise
The Condors conclude their road trip in Boise on Friday and Saturday, with both games starting at 6:10 p.m. Idaho currently holds the seventh and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, 13 points ahead of the Condors with 12 games remaining for each team. The broadcasts start with Condors Countdown, at 5:50 p.m. on Fox Sports Radio 970 AM, iheartradio, and www.americaone.com.
Condorstown on "Pinterest"
