Fresh off the holiday break, the Kalamazoo Wings will hit the road for the first of two straight contests at the Huntington Center against the Toledo Walleye. On the season, the K-Wings are 3-1-1-0 against their division rivals.
Eight days between contests, last week represents the largest span between games this season for the K-Wings. With 25 points, Kalamazoo is in third place in the North Division and trails the Cincinnati Cyclones by four points for second place and is five points behind the Wheeling Nailers, who are in first.
Winless in their last three contests, the Walleye are 0-2-1-0 during the recent stretch. With 21 points, Toledo is in fourth place in the North Division. Tonight will begin a stretch of three games in four nights for the Walleye.

Kalamazoo's Sam Ftorek has recorded points in six straight games. Besides the six-game point streak, Ftorek, who shares the team's longest active assist steak at six games with Trent Daavettila, is also tied for the K-Wings season-high for consecutive games with an assist, held by Kory Karlander.
