Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Tonight starts the most grueling week in the K-Wings schedule. Starting with tonight's game against the Quad City Mallards, the K-Wings will play five games in seven days. This season, the K-Wings are 2-0-0 against the Mallards, including a 6-2 victory back on December 22nd at Wings Stadium.
The K-Wings will be chasing history tonight, as Kalamazoo needs just one more victory to tie the franchise record for consecutive wins (10). Last week, the K-Wings set the franchise mark for consecutive road wins (6) with a victory over the Mallards in Moline, Illinois.
Since losing to the K-Wings last Wednesday, the Mallards have rattled off two straight victories. Despite their recent success, Quad City still has struggled on the road. Coming into tonight's game the Mallards are just 6-12-2 on the road.
