At the mid-way point of the 2004-05 season, the Rockford IceHogs are tied with the Muskegon Fury for the top record in the United Hockey League. The IceHogs began a seven-game stretch away from home during Week 14 and picked up a pair of wins. Week 15 has three more trips on the schedule including a showdown with the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday.

Transactions
-Defenseman Ryan Bonni was placed on team suspension on Monday, January 10.
-Defenseman Cory Laylin was placed on team suspension on Wednesday, January 12.
Bacon Bits:
Goalie Michel Robinson tied a franchise record Saturday with his fourth shutout of the season. Robinson joins Brant Nicklin as the franchise's all-time shutout leader and most shutouts in a season.
Winger J.F. Dufour has a point in eight straight games dating back to 12/31/04. During his hot stretch the Hogs leading scorer has 4g-9a-13pts and is a plus-7.
Since returning from the 21-Day IR, winger Chris Gobert has a point in each of his four games since returning (2g-4a-6pts). Overall Gobert has a point in six straight games.
The IceHogs are tied for the league lead with a goals against average of 2.44.
Rookie defenseman Steve Pelletier, who was added to the UHL's All-Star game on Wednesday, leads all rookies with plus/minus rating of plus-22.
Center Olivier Proulx is tied for the league lead with five game winning goals.
Rockford's power play is heating up a bit, going 4-for-16 in the team's last three games.
Hot Hog: Week 14
Winger Chris Gobert: Since returning from the injured reserve, Gobert has picked up right where he left off before his injury. Last week, the second year winger had 2g-3a-5pts with a plus/minus rating of +2. Gobert has a five-game scoring streak.
Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, January 19 at Quad City Mallards. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Rockford returns to the road to take on the arch-rival Quad City Mallards in a Western Division match-up. It's the third of six meetings at the MARK of the Quad Cities between the rivals.
Saturday, January 22 at Fort Wayne Komets. Game begins at 6:35 p.m. The top two teams in the UHL's Western Divison hook up once again at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The Hogs and Komets will meet just twice more, including Saturday, this season.
Sunday, January 23 at Flint Generals: Start time is 3:05 p.m. The Hogs travel to Flint, Michigan to take on the Generals for the final time this season in Flint.
