Prince George Cougars News Release

Prince George, BC - The Prince George Cougars will show their support for Prostate Cancer Canada and the Movember Foundation by growing their facial hair for the month of November. Members of the team and the coaching staff have chosen to participate in the campaign to raise money and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer.

"Everyone in some way or another will be affected by cancer," said Prince George Cougars Head Coach Dean Clark. "My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer four years ago and had surgery; he's still around today. Having been through it with my own family I understand the importance of getting regular check-ups and how early detection saves lives."

The Prince George Cougars will be posting regular updates and photos through Twitter (www.twitter.com/pgcougars), Facebook (www.facebook.com/pgcougars) and www.pgcougars.com. Fans who attend Cougars games in November will have the chance to win prizes courtesy of the Movember campaign.
