Breast Cancer Awareness Night Friday

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats' annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night sponsored by Jays Moving and Storage is just a couple of days away when the Blue and White host the Calgary Hitmen Friday, November 2nd. One of the Pats most important game nights of the year, this season's Awareness Night is set to be biggest since the Pats first started this event seven years ago.
Walk-Up for the Cure Pats fans can help support the cause just by coming to the game. One dollar from every walk-up ticket goes to the Canadian Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.
Pre-Game Ceremonies Fans will want to get to their seats early as the Pats start the night with a special pre-game ceremony. Saskatchewan country singer, Kal Hourd will perform his song, "When Pink was Just a Colour". The Pats will also honour breast cancer survivors at centre ice ahead of dropping the puck.
Pink Rink, Pink Players Once again, the Brandt Centre Ice Crew and Imagination Ink have teamed up to paint the ice surface at the Brandt Centre pink. Pats players will also wear special edition pink jerseys for their contest with the Hitmen.
Jersey Auction Fans have the chance to help the cause by bidding on the Pats Pink Jerseys throughout the night. The silent auction will be ongoing around the Brandt Centre concourse during the game with proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.
Pink Toques Pats Pink Toques are still available for $20 at the Neutral Zone Store, Online or at the Pats Office. Proceeds from sales go towards the Canadian Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.
Post Game Skate For the first time, fans have the opportunity to skate on the Pink Ice as the Brandt Centre ice surface will be opened up for a post game free skate.
"We are very excited for this year's Breast Cancer Awareness Night," says VP of Operations and Corporate Development Cliff Mapes. "On behalf of the Pats I'd like to thank our partners, the Canadian Cancer Society for joining us in this initiative, our game sponsor Jays Moving and Storage and Imagination Ink for their help turning the ice pink."
