Cougars Receive Pugliese From Boise

GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Chicago Cubs, have announced that pitcher James Pugliese has joined the Cougars from Short-A Boise. Pitcher Michael Heesch has been placed on the disabled list and catcher Neftali Rosario, who was on the disabled list, has been transferred to Boise. Today's roster moves maintain an active squad of 25 players as the team concludes a four-game home series against Clinton this evening. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark.

Pugliese (18th Round, 2011) pitched in 15 games, 11 of which were starts at Boise last season and went 1-5 with a 5.37 ERA. This season with the Hawks, Pugliese was 4-3 with a 2.32 ERA in 12 outings, 11 of which were starts. Heesch (8th Round, 2012) is second on the staff with 119 innings pitched.
