Captains Return to Classic Park Tomorrow

The Captains will begin the second-to-last home stand of the 2013 season tomorrow as the Dayton Dragons (Reds) make their final regular season appearance at Classic Park this season.

Tomorrow the Captains will feature a special buy two, get two special on hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, French fries, onion rings, nachos and popcorn. Game time is 7 PM.

Thursday is Thirsty Thursday, presented by ESPN 850 WKNR, featuring a 25-cent beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half-price draft beer and fountain soda until 9 PM. A wing and pizza buffet will also be available outside the Corona Castaways Bar, featuring Happy Moose Bar and Grill wing sauces and pizza from Cleveland Pizza Company.

Thursday is also Date Night, which provides couples with the opportunity to purchase two tickets to The Officer's Club Suite and enjoy a buffet dinner, a $56 value, for only $32. Game time is 7 PM.

With the college football season right around the corner, the Captains will also celebrate the spirit of the gridiron game with college football trivia, entertaining college fight songs, and information on the upcoming college football season.

Friday's 7 PM game will be followed by a Firework's Friday Night presented by Universal Windows Direct. Following the fireworks spectacular, the Captains Friday Night Concert Series continues with Juke Box Heroes which entertains fans from the Gen X crowd to the arena rock era and even the disco scene. They will perform on-stage adjacent to Castaways Bar.

Individual game tickets for these, and the final three home Captains games next week, August 28 - 30, may be purchased at the Captains official website CaptainsBaseball.com.

During Friday's game the Captains will salute the movie Ghostbusters. Fans can take photos and meet the Ghostbusters of Northeast Ohio, the Ghostbusters Cleveland Chapter as well as members of the Ghostbusters Dayton Club. There will be Ghostbusters themed in-game promotions, trivia and music throughout the night. Fans can also take photos with Ghostbusters' vehicles that will be on display at the stadium.

Be sure to stick around after the game for a fireworks extravaganza presented by Universal Windows Direct.

Friday night's game is home to Friday Night Fireworks presented by Universal Windows Direct and Ghostbusters Night. However, the fun doesn't stop after the game or the fireworks display. Stick around for a post-game concert from Jukebox Heroes at Corona Castaways Bar!

The Captains are hosting a College Fair on Wednesday, August 28. Admission is free for high school students, who also have the chance to be awarded a $1,000 scholarship! Colleges and universities are able to set up tables on the concourse for only $250. Institutions attending the event also receive 25 tickets to the night's Captains game and a parking pass.

The Captains Calendar Giveaway presented by Lake Health is Thursday, August 29 and Friday, August 30. The calendar is available to the first 1,000 fans in attendance on August 29 and to the first 1,500 fans on August 30. This 16-month Captains Baseball calendar will remind fans that while the 2013 season is winding down, the 2014 baseball season is right around the corner.

The Thursday game is also home to Thirsty Thursday presented by ESPN 850 WKNR. Additionally, Friday night is a Friday Night Fireworks presented by Universal Windows Direct. Once the fireworks are over, fans can head on over to Corona Castaway's bar for the final post-game concert of the 2013 season by Cleveland's Breakfast Club.
