Cougars Prospect Rem Pitlick Selected 76th Overall by the Nashville Predators

Prince George, B.C. - With their third round pick (76th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft, the Nashville Predators have selected Cougars prospect Rem Pitlick (Plymouth, MN).
Pitlick, a forward, stands 5'9" and 194 pounds. He was originally drafted by the Prince George Cougars in the 11th round (222nd overall) of the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft. He's coming off a highly successful season with the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL. In 56 games Pitlick struck for 46 goals (a league high), 43 assists (also a league high) and 74 penalty minutes. For his efforts, Pitlick was named the 2015-16 USHL Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and was a first team all-star. Internationally he captured a bronze medal with Team USA at the 2015 World Junior A Challenge.
"Rem is coming off a highly successful season in the USHL is very deserving of all of his recent accolades," said Cougars General Manager, Todd Harkins. "We want to congratulate Rem and the Pitlick family we wish them the best as he now becomes a member of the Nashville Predators organization."
Pitlick is the third Cougars prospect to be selected in the 2016 NHL Draft. Yesterday defenceman Dennis Cholowski (Chilliwack Chiefs, BCHL) was picked 20th overall by the Detroit Red Wings and forward Riley Tufte (Fargo Force, USHL) went five picks later to the Dallas Stars.
