Forward Adam Brooks Drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs

Buffalo, New York - The Regina Pats congratulate Forward Adam Brooks on being selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Adam was taken in the fourth round, 92nd overall.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native had a career year during the 2015-16 Season. Adam was awarded the Bob Clarke Trophy as the top scorer in the Western Hockey League. In 72 games, he posted 120 points (38G, 82A). During the 2016 playoffs, he continued on a torrid pace tallying 23 points (7G, 16A).

For his efforts, Brooks was named an Eastern Conference First-Team All Star. He also held the role of Captain for the Regina Pat for part of the season while Colby Williams recovered from surgery.

Adam Brooks is the second Regina Pats player chosen during the 2016 NHL Draft. Adam joins the first overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft Auston Matthews in Toronto. The first Pat player chosen this year was Sam Steel by the Anaheim Ducks, 30th overall.
