Prince George, B.C. - Four players with ties to the Prince George Cougars organization were selected in the 2016 NHL Draft which was held June 24th and 25th in Buffalo, NY.

D - Josh Anderson (Duncan, BC)

Selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the third round (71st overall).

2015-16 Season with Prince George: 1G, 5A, 86PIMS, 39 GP.

Represented Canada at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

Drafted by the Cougars third overall in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.

Second Cougar ever selected by the Colorado Avalanche (Troy Bourke, 2012).

Highest Cougars d-man selected since Ty Wishart (Round 1, San Jose, 2006).

D - Dennis Cholowski (Langley, BC)

Selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the first round (20th overall).

2015-16 Season with Chilliwack (BCHL): 12G, 28A, 16PIMS, 50 GP.

Won a gold medal at the World Junior A Challenge in December, 2015.

A second team BCHL All-Star in 2016.

Drafted by the Cougars in Round 10 (200th Overall) in 2013.

F - Riley Tufte (Ham Lake, MN)

Selected by the Dallas Stars in the first round (25th overall).

2015-16 Season with Blaine High School (USHS): 47G, 31A, 53PIMS, 25 GP.

Named Mr. hockey Minnesota (2016).

Represented Team USA at the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.

Listed by the Cougars in July, 2013.

F - Rem Pitlick (Plymouth, MN)

Selected by the Nashville Predators in the third round (76th overall).

2015-16 Season with Muskegon (USHL): 46G, 43A, 74PIMS, 53 GP.

USHL Top Scorer and first team all-star.

Represented Team USA at the 2015-16 World Junior A Challenge.

Drafted by the Cougars in Round 11 (222nd overall) in 2012.
