CornBelters Saturday Evening Game Postponed

May 25, 2013 - Frontier League (FL)
Normal CornBelters News Release

NORMAL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, have officially cancelled their game at The Corn Crib this evening against the Frontier Greys.

Tickets for this evening's game can be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value to any remaining regular season home game during the 2013 regular season, including tomorrow evening's double-header.

The match-up between the CornBelters and the Greys will be made up tomorrow when they will play two, seven inning games. Gates for tomorrow evenings double-header will open at 5 p.m. with the first of the two games beginning at 6 p.m. The second game will directly follow the first, with a 30 minute break between.

THE NIBLET: The CornBelters are still seeking host families for the 2013 season. The "Host Family Program" provides players with a home away from home. It enables them to live with a family, couple or individual in the Bloomington-Normal area. It is derived from a variety of factors from a player's standpoint. Such factors include: the difficulty in finding a lease for just several months, the possibility of playing for the CornBelters for a limited time and/or the limited salaries that accompany professional baseball at this level of play. For more information, and a host family application, please visit http://www.normalbaseball.com/host-family/.
