Coreau, LaLeggia Highlight Shootout Win

Jared Coreau stopped 16 of 17 shots, earning his first shootout win with the Rampage. San Antonio went to overtime for the third straight game, improving their shootout record to 3-0 this season.

Coreau stopped both shootout attempts he faced, turning aside T.J. Tynan and Gage Quinney. Austin Poganski scored in the first round with a backhand deke, improving to 3-for-3 in shootouts this season. LaLeggia's tally sealed the win for the Rampage in the third round, sliding the puck through the legs of Wolves goaltender Max Lagace.

Chicago opened the scoring early in the second period. At 4:16 of the second, Tye McGinn took a pass from Tobias Lindberg on a 2-on-1 rush for his fourth goal of the year, giving the Wolves a 1-0 lead.

Jordan Kyrou tied the game at 14:29 of the second period, taking a pass from Mitch Reinke at the top of the left circle and firing a wrist shot off the post and in for his team-leading 16th goal of the year.

With the assist, Reinke notched his 24th power play point of the season, leading all AHL defensemen.

The Rampage extended their unbeaten streak at home to 17 games (15-0-2) and are 21-6-2 when playing at the AT&T Center this season. The Rampage killed all five Chicago power plays, including three in the first period.

The Wolves earned a power play in overtime when Trevor Smith was called for slashing at 2:31. The Rampage held Chicago to one shot during the power play.

Both teams posted 17 shots for the game. The Rampage held Chicago to two shots in the third period, the fewest shots an opponent has recorded against San Antonio in a period this season.

San Antonio improved to 4-1-0 against the Wolves this season, winning both meetings at the AT&T Center. The Rampage are within three points of the final playoff spot in the Central Division.

The Rampage face the Texas Stars on Saturday night at the AT&T Center. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT, with the game available on the Ticket 760AM and on AHLTV.
