Rockford IceHogs News Release
ROCKFORD, Ill - The Chicago Blackhawks today announced they have recalled goaltender Collin Delia on an emergency basis from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.
Delia, 24, has split the 2018-19 season between Rockford and Chicago. He won one of his two starts with the IceHogs since rejoining the team on Feb. 25, picking up an overtime victory against Grand Rapids last Friday. The netminder is 8-6-4 with a 2.36 GAA and .929 save percentage over his 19 total AHL appearances this year and has limited opponents to two or fewer goals in 12 of his 19 outings.
The Rancho Cucamonga, California native rejoins Chicago where he 6-4-0 with a 3.48 GAA and .909 save percentage in 15 NHL games. Delia originally began his NHL stint this season with three consecutive wins against Colorado (two wins) and Minnesota, turning away 116 of 121 shots over that span, and later matched that stretch with a career high-tying three-game win streak from Jan. 20 - Feb. 7.
Overall, Delia has combined to go 25-13-8 with a 2.58 GAA and .913 save percentage in 47 AHL games with the IceHogs, and 16-7-5 with a 3.53 GAA and .907 save percentage in 17 career NHL games with the Blackhawks.
