
Constant nets two goals in Thunder OT win

ONTARIO, Calif. - Cleve Kinley scored his first goal of the season as the Stockton Thunder (5-5-2, 12 points) knocked off the Ontario Reign (7-4-2, 16 points) in overtime with a final score of 3-2 in front of 6,271 at Citizens Business Bank.
The Thunder were led by Ryan Constant, scoring his first two goals of the season and notching his first career multi-goal game, scored both Thunder goals in regulation time. Kinley scored the game winning goal with a long slap shot from the left wing 1:50 into the extra period. Also registering two points for the Thunder in the overtime victory were Kinley (1g-1a) and Ryan Huddy (two assists).
The two teams skated to a 1-1 tie through 20 minutes of play, with Ontario's Jon Francisco opening the scoring 3:26 into the game with the first of two power-play goals for the Reign forward. Constant answered for the Thunder at the 10:54 mark with his first goal of the season.
Stockton took the lead 12:07 into the second period when Constant netted his second goal of the game, this time from the top of the left circle after the Thunder let off a flurry of shots at the Ontario net.
Ontario tied the game to force overtime as Francisco netted his second goal of the night at 12:38 of the third period.
Stockton controlled the overtime period as they held the Reign without a shot before Kinley netted the final score of the game giving the Thunder the win in overtime,
NOTES: The Thunder scratched James Bates, Jeff Kryzakos, Marc-Andre Bernier (injured reserve), Mark Adamek (injured reserve) and Toby LaFrance (injured reserve) ... Garet Hunt and Ontario counterpart David Walker engaged in a fight at the start of the second period ... the Thunder notched their first win against Ontario and now has a 1-0-1 record lifetime against the Reign.
