After Warpecha opened the scoring at 6:24 of the first, Alex Limoges responded for Tri-City. Walker Duehr devised the rush, zinging a pass that Limoges one-touched over Stezka's shoulder to tie the game at 12:59 of the first.
Limoges has seven goals and 18 points in his first 24 games. Meanwhile, Duehr has taken on a passing role of late - his last six points have been helpers.
Former Storm defenseman Garret Cecere was called for slashing with seven minutes left in the second and it took Tri-City one minute to strike. On its fourth power play, John Marino banged a left-point shot over Stezka to put the Storm in front, 2-1, at 14:19 of the middle period. Mattias Goransson slung it left to Marino, while Wahlin took the secondary helper.
Marino, who has paired with Goransson on the blue line the entire season, has ten points on the power play. Goransson leads USHL defensemen with 16 power-play points and 24 assists.
Tri-City finished 1-for-4 on the power play and kept Sioux Falls scoreless on three chances.
Carson Meyer added insurance 15 seconds into the third, beating a shot by Stezka with assists to Nico Sturm and Jake Wahlin. Meyer has five tallies in his last five games.
Desperate late in the third, Sioux Falls pulled Stezka, who took the loss with 26 shots. Wade Allison backhanded a puck into the empty net with 1:12 left for his 18th of the campaign.
