Bakersfield Condors News Release
Bakersfield, Calif. - The Condors played four straight games on the road last week in Ontario and Las Vegas, picking up 3 points with a 1-2-0-1 record. The Condors now have 44 points this season, which places them third in the Pacific Division. They trail the first place Las Vegas Wranglers by nine points, and second place Stockton by four points.

ONTARIO 1 vs. Condors 0
A goal in the opening minute of the second period by C Michael Pelech was the only scoring in the game, as the Reign knocked off the Condors 1-0 in Ontario. G Brian Stewart played in net for the Condors, stopping 24 shots.
Friday, Jan. 21 LAS VEGAS 5 vs. Condors 3
The Condors fell behind by two goals after the first period, but evened the score at 2-2 in the second with goals by F Michael Gergen at 4:14 and D J.F. David at 9:36. The Wranglers regained the lead just 1:23 later and added a second before the end of the period to take a 4-2 lead into the third. Gergen scored his second of the night bring the game back to within reach, but an empty-netter scored by C Chris Higgins put the game away, as the Wranglers won 5-3.
Saturday, Jan. 22
Condors 1 vs. LAS VEGAS 0
G Josh Tordjman returned from the Houston Aeros and backstopped the Condors to a 1-0 victory with a 30 save effort. It was his third shutout of the season. Bakersfield LW Brad Snetsinger notched his 13th goal of the season 9:21 into the first period, scoring the only goal of the game.
Sunday, Jan. 23
LAS VEGAS 6 vs. Condors 5, SO
The Condors never trailed the Wranglers in a back-and-forth game that also saw two Condors goals disallowed. Bakersfield also never led by more than one, as the teams traded goals throughout regulation and went into overtime tied at 5-5. The Wranglers eventually prevailed in the shootout, handing the Condors their first shootout loss of the season.
PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
* G Josh Tordjman recorded his third shutout of the year on Saturday, a 30-save 1-0 victory for Bakersfield. He is tied for the league lead with 3 shutouts, and is one shy of tying the Condors single season record. * The Condors were awarded their first penalty shot of the year on Friday. C Joel Broda's attempt was stopped by G Joe Fallon. Bakersfield has surrendered five penalty shots this season, allowing just one goal. * F Michael Gergen missed his shootout attempt for the first time all year. He is now 4-5 in shootouts this season, and continues to lead the league in shootout goals. * F Bobby Robins returned to the Condors on Sunday following a 4-game ECHL suspension. He had a goal and an assist and finished with a +2 rating. He now leads the team with a +10 rating, achieved in just 15 games. He has finished games with a "plus" rating eight times. * C Adam Naglich scored twice on Sunday, picking up his first goals since Dec. 3, also a two goal effort. Naglich finished the game with 2 goals and 1 assist to go along with a +3 rating. * F Guillaume Lefebvre played in his first game with Bakersfield on Wed., Jan. 19, in Ontario. * The Condors finished the week 1-2-0-1, which marks the first time since the first week in December when the Condors had a losing record in a single week. Bakersfield is 13-5-1 since Dec. 10. * The Condors killed off 22-of-23 penalties this past week.

ON THE DOCKET:
The Condors host the ECHL All-Stars for 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic to be held on Jan. 26 at Rabobank Arena. This year's format has the Bakersfield Condors taking on the ECHL All-Stars. The game starts at 7 p.m., with a Skills Competition during pregame and in the first intermission. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The first 2,000 kids age 12 and under will receive All-Star Cereal Bowls, and all fans in attendance will receive an All-Star themed Condors poster. All fans will also get a free All-Star Game program.
The Skills Competition will begin at 6:15 p.m. The Fastest Skater, Accuracy Shooting, and Kings of the Shootout will take place during pregame. Following the All-Star game, the Condors make the trek North to Alaska to take on the Aces for three straight games. Friday and Saturday's game begin at 8:15, and Sunday's game will start at 6:05. The Condors return to home ice on Friday, February 4, when they host the Alaska Aces.
