Condors Countdown with Head Coach J.F. Houle

TONIGHT

T he Bakersfield Condors take on the Colorado Eagles for the first time this season. The two sides will meet seven times over the rest of the campaign - with three of those games at Rabobank Arena. Bakersfield was the first-ever ECHL opponent of the Colorado Eagles on Opening Night 2011. The teams met just four times a season ago, but all four games were one-goal contests with three of the four going past regulation. Bakersfield was 1-1-2 against the Eagles in 2013-14.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Bakersfield surrendered two goals early in the first period and never recovered in a 5-1 loss at Ontario on Wednesday night. C Josh Currie scored on the power play for the Condors in the first to halve the lead, but it was as close as the Condors could get. G Frans Tuohimaa started for Bakersfield but gave way to G Ty Rimmer, 16 minutes into the first period.

The Eagles swept the Stockton Thunder at home on Tuesday and Wednesday. F Darryl Bootland had two goals on Tuesday night while F Brock Nixon matched him with a pair of his own on Wednesday. G Doug Carr earned the win in net both nights, but has since been recalled by the Adirondack Flames.

CONDORS NOTES

F Dan Delisle was signed earlier today. He began the season with the Condors and last weekend had a hat trick for Mississippi in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL)... Bakersfield has scored four power-play goals in the last two games... The Condors are the least penalized team in the Pacific Division with just 15.34 PIMs/game... Bakersfield is t-5th in PP% at 20.1%. That number jumps to 25.4% on home ice.
