DAKOTA DUEL

The Oilers and Rush face off for the seventh time this season and the second time at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The season series between the two clubs is tied at three games apiece and the Oilers hold a narrow 21-20 edge in total goals scored. Tonight's contest is the second of three games for Tulsa in Rapid City this week. The squads will conclude this week's series on Saturday evening and will not clash again until the end of February.

RUSH CRUSHERS

Tuesday night in Rapid City, the Oilers scored four goals in the second half of the first period and cruised to an impressive 6-0 victory over the Rush. Adam Pleskach led the Oilers' offensive effort with two goals and two assists as he became the third Oiler this season to record four points in a single game. Drew Fisher and Jeff Jubinville each chipped in three points while Kevin Carr registered 21 saves to earn his first professional shutout. The Oilers blanked their opponent for the first time this season and allowed a season-low 21 shots. The six-goal margin was Tulsa's most lopsided triumph of the season and ended a four-game road losing streak.

NOT COOLING OFF

The line of Jeff Jubinville, Drew Fisher, and Adam Pleskach continues to produce points at a torrid pace and Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Rush only increased the trio's rapidly rising totals. The three forwards combined for ten points and a +11 rating on Tuesday night as each member of the line contributed at least three points. Over the last five games, the line has posted 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) and a combined +30 rating. Jubinville, a rookie center, has scored six goals on his last 17 shots and has put up multiple points in five of his last seven appearances. Pleskach leads the Oilers with 40 points and 21 goals while Fisher is riding a career-long, nine-game point streak and nine-game assist streak.

MACAULAY EARNS ALL-STAR BID

Second-year defenseman Scott Macaulay has been selected to represent the Oilers at the 2015 ECHL All-Star Game on January 21 in Orlando, Florida. In his second second season with the Oilers, Macaulay has appeared in all 36 games and leads all Tulsa defensemen with 24 points (6 goals, 18 assists). The 24-year old recorded his first multi-goal game of the season on Tuesday night in Rapid City and has already doubled his goal total from the entire 2013-14 campaign. Macaulay is tops on the Tulsa squad with four game-winning goals and is tied for the team lead with ten power play points. Among ECHL blue-liners, Macaulay ranks second in points and is only one point shy of tying his rookie total of 25 points.

FEELING COMBATIVE

Tulsa defenseman Kevin Noble dropped the gloves twice on Tuesday night and has five fighting majors in the last seven games. The 27-year old ranks second on the Oilers' roster with 100 penalty minutes this season and has totaled 202 penalty minutes in 72 career games. Noble is second among all ECHL defensemen with eight majors on the season and has at least two penalty minutes in eight of his last ten appearances.

OIL DROPS

Tulsa snapped a three-game power play drought with Scott Macaulay's tally on the man-advantage in the closing seconds of Tuesday's win...After missing six straight games, Dave Pszenyczny returned to the Tulsa lineup on Tuesday and dished out a pair of assists...The Oilers have four players - Adam Pleskach, Drew Fisher, T.J. Caig, Jon Booras - in the top ten in the ECHL scoring race...Matt Larke is two goals shy of 100 for his career.
