Bakersfield Condors News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors are back on Mercy & Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena on Saturday to face-off against the Stockton Thunder. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m.

All fans in attendance will receive a Condors team poster, featuring all your favorite returning and new Condors, courtesy of ABC23 and 93.1 Pirate Radio. Don't miss your chance to get this annual collectable poster, perfect for collecting autographs and to hang on any true fan's wall.

After the game, all Season Ticket Holders are invited to meet the team for a post-game meet-and-greet immediately following the game. Bring your posters and get autographs from the entire team!

Saturday's game is also the first Bright House Networks, Bakersfield Californian and Wells Fargo Condors Kids Club Night of the season. All Condors Kids Club members receive admission to the game through their membership.

Not content that the mascots escaped last week's mascot slingshot unscathed, the Colonel and Baby Cal will again attempt to win lucky fans Condors merchandise by being shot across the ice towards gigantic bowling pins in the mascot slingshot during the first intermission.

During the second intermission, the Carrot and Almond will try to avenge their previous losses to the Grapes in the Green Acres Produce Kern County Ag Race. Also, the Chuck-A-Puck total is up to $250, so warm up that throwing arm!

Additionally during the second intermission, one lucky fan will have a shot at winning the Condors one-of-a-kind 2008 Chevy Silverado, complete with Condors customizations on the interior and exterior, the ride of a true Condors fan, courtesy of 3-Way Chevrolet. To win the truck, the contestant will shoot a puck from one face-off circle marked by a Carl's Jr. star diagonally to the other face-off star. If the puck lands on the star, the contestant will win the truck.

If no one wins the truck during the on-ice contest and if a Condors player records a hat trick during the third period, one lucky fan, randomly drawn, will drive home in the brand-new, customized Condors Silverado.

Following Saturday night's game, Condors F Matt Caruana and C Charlie Kronschnabel will be at the Holiday Inn Select Autograph Booth. The autograph booth is located on the concourse behind section 108. The players will arrive at the booth approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game to meet fans and sign autographs. Caruana will be on the cover of the Nightly Notes, so be sure to pick up your copy at the game and get it autographed.

Saturday's game will be televised live on Bright House Networks Channel 21. All televised games will be available on Bakersfield On Demand Cable Ch. 300, starting the following day.

The following Saturday, on Nov. 8, the Condors will have a very special guest in attendance for the Olympic Jersey Off Our Backs Raffle & Auction. World Record holder and the athlete with the most memorable performance at the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing will be on hand with his Olympic gold medals.
