
Condors Opening Weekend Filled with Promotions Friday and Saturday

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, open the 2014-15 season this Friday and Saturday on Dignity Health Home Ice at Rabobank Arena. Friday features a Condors Jersey Rally Towel Giveaway and is followed up on Saturday by an LA Kings Stanley Cup Celebration featuring a mini-figurine giveaway, entertainment from the Kings Ice Crew and mascot Bailey, and interactive games on the plaza before the game.
The Condors come off their best season in team history last year when they advanced to the Western Conference Finals and are back to re-write history this season.
Opening weekend is presented by Eyewitness News, Fox Sports 970 AM, and SC Architect.
FRIDAY, OCT. 17 - OPENING NIGHT JERSEY RALLY TOWEL GIVEAWAY

The first 3,000 in attendance, 5 and older, will take home a Condors Jersey Rally Towel to bring and swing to all games this season. Swinging them in the classroom is not encouraged! Get your first look at the team featuring new coaching staff, J.F. Houle and Ben Boudreau along with seven players assigned from the Oilers.
SATURDAY, Oct. 18 - LA KINGS STANLEY CUP CELEBRATION / MINI-FIGURINE GIVEAWAY

Come down to Rabobank Arena early as the LA Kings Ice Crew and Street will hold a Party on the Plaza beginning at 4 p.m. Bailey, the Kings mascot, will join them for the game to entertain the crowd! The party will feature inflatable games, street hockey, autographs, pictures, and chances to win great prizes The first 1,000 kids, 12 and under, will receive a LA Kings Oyo mini-figurine of one of the heroes of the team's Stanley Cup run. Players include: Dustin Brown, Drew Doughty, Marian Gaborik, Anze Kopitar, Alec Martinez, and Justin Williams
Doors open at 6 p.m. (5:45 for season ticket holders!); puck drops at 7 p.m. both nights.
